In the Woods
A sparring match over dinner, digging into themes of privilege, prejudice, and entitlement, via the Gordian knot of self identity, race, age, and gender.
Synopsis:
Noted author, WHEATON TUTTLE (50), white and angry, tanks his stagnating career after a drunken rant at his publisher’s holiday party goes viral on social media. Acerbic and berating, Wheaton vomits on a bestselling author and is cast out of the literary world just when things were turning around. Intent on heading into the wilds of the Bitterroot Mountains like a modern day Thoreau, he will either write his magnum opus or off himself like so many before him… if he can get there.
