About

Divemaster. Human Genome Project Researcher. Teaching Fellow. Public School Principal. Storyteller.

Born and raised in Huntington, New York, to first-generation Italian immigrants, I graduated with honors from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in biology and psychology. I immediately moved to Belize to open a scuba diving shop. Hungry and poor, reality brought me back to New York to work on the Human Genome Project.

Wholly unsatisfied sticking mouse butts with syringes, I left the burbs for a teaching fellowship in New York City public schools, later becoming an assistant principal, then principal, where I transformed two struggling schools into Schools in Good Standing. But it took a toll.

In January 2020, I moved to LA with my wildly talented actor/director/writer wife, Tijuana Ricks. Then COVID hit, upending our plans, but giving me plenty of time to write.
In 2021, my pilot, Painkillers, was an official selection for SeriesFest 2021 pitch-a-thon. In 2023, amid the WGA strikes, I was laid off and began writing full-time, garnering attention in notable screenwriting contests, including Austin Film Festival, Inroads Fellowship, Raindance, and others.

I currently live in Los Angeles with my wife, a Creole woman from Louisiana. As our bloodlines demand, we host frequent dinner parties. Because...food. I also run long distances for fun.
